Molly Reed is an accomplished Christian, country, and sync, writer. In the spring of 2007, she graduated from Belmont University and signed her first publishing deal at THiS Music, a co-venture with Warner Chappell. Molly’s deal with THiS Music has since grown into a co-venture with Curb Word Music Publishing. At the onset of her career she was part of the contemporary Christian band City Harbor and co-wrote their lead single, “Somebody Tell Them.” As a writer, Molly has penned singles for Christian artists like Francessca Battistelli—"If We’re Honest” and “Giants Fall”—and Hillary Scott & The Scott Family. Molly’s Hillary Scott single, “Still,” was part of the Grammy Award winning album “Love Remains.” Her songs have been recorded by acts like Danny Gokey, Blanca, Marie Osmond and Olivia Newton John, One Girl Nation, Ginny Owens, Mikeschair, and Point of Grace.
A versatile writer, Molly’s talents have expanded outside of the Christian music industry and reached into both film / tv and country music. Country artists like Wynonna, Amy Grant, Ashley Gearing, and Danielle Bradberry, have recorded her songs. Most recently, her song “Worth It” was recorded by Big Machine’s Danielle Bradberry and released as a single to country radio. Molly’s songs can be found on television shows like One Tree Hill, Bones, and The Vampire Diaries. Her Vampire Diarie’s song, “Down” song was featured prominently on season one and has over 20 million streams today. Molly currently resides in Franklin, Tn with her husband Mike and their two daughters, Grailey and Ellie.
